HiI've noticed on a clear day with no clouds I usually peak around 2.8 kW, but with the sun shining and some clouds in the sky, I peak just above 3kW. I assume this has to do with the light duffusing on the clouds and giving a boost to the panels. Anyone know if that's correct?
Slightly off topic, but does anyone know if "rEd" appearing on my import meter is an issue? I believe it stands for "Reverse Energy Detected". Should I contact my supplier about it or not bother?
All of the previous post by Pryderi and also the effect of heat on your panels. The panels will generally be power rated at 25C and will deteriorate at around 0.5%/degreeC above that, so if the panels are at 45C on a continuously sunny day you are likely to lose 10%(ish) of the peak generating capacity .... a sky with clouds will allow the panels to cool whilst shaded.
rEd will just be an anti-tamper flag ... it would be pretty obvious to the meter reader what is causing this
...... also your supplier should be able to check their records and see that the MPAN has a pv system linked to it.

My 3.995 (Sanyo panels with an SMA 4000TL inverter) system briefly read 4.3kW yesterday. The most that have had in a day was 23.4kWh.
I have only had the system for a month and according to the monitor I would be earning £150 a month if it wasn't for:
1. I haven't officially been registered for FITS yet.
2. The weather has been unusually sunny lately.0
