    Indo77- thanks for posting.
Did you run it last year with a target time or just as a challenge?

I've done the Belfast marathon run for last 3 years and every year after i cross the finish line i tell myself "never ever ever again" (with a few explectives thrown in for good measure)

I couldn't motivate myself to do all the training again for this years full 26.2 mile run so i'm doing a couple of relay legs instead this year.

Indo77- have you set yourself a target time?

I did it more as a challenge last year and came in at 4:21. I wanted to go under the 4 hrs this year but I doubt that will happen. A family situation happened where I could not train for 2 weeks and it was a struggle even getting out again. I have so far did 2 18 milers as my longest runs, the most recent this morning. I would be happy with a time that is around 4:10 ish. I have to be honest and say that the Belfast route is pretty crap and is def not a route where anyone will get a personal best. The first half is very hilly.

im doing the relay, 4th leg. did the first leg last year and it was awful, mainly due to taking about 4 or 5 minutes just to get over the starting line! but the weather last year was fantastic! lets hope we get the same again this year!
