Hi
I have been working for 5 weeks, our baby has had the vomiting bug, On Monday i could not go to work as i had a little bit of a bad stomach, Tuesday i went into work still feeling a little sick.
Tuesday evening i was totally ill I let the company know twice in that week i would not be in and got a text saying hope you get better soon.
On Monday i did visit the doctor thinking my sciatica was playing up and he gave me some strong pain killers to back to work Tuesday, it was not Sciatica but the Vomiting bug i had.
Today i got a call from the Agency that i was no longer needed, they was cutting back by one man, this other guy was meant to go last week but was kept on for one more week.
I was told by the boss that i would be the last to go first in last out, can they just get rid of me like this and what forms should i fill in to cover me off sick.
Thanks
Neil

You are a temporary worker, they can chose to say "don't come back tomorrow" even when you aren't delaying their work by not being there.
Your agency should have provided you with information about claiming SSP. You may not be entitled to that now.
Did you tell both the agency and the employer each time you were not in?0 -

I don't understand what is going on here.Hi

You work for one company but the agency calls you to say you are no longer required.
You work for the agency but get paid by another company.
Are there three organisations involved here - is there an umbrella company that pays you and charges the agency?
Any way, whichever directly pays you should be the one with which you deal about SSP questions.0 -
If there is no job to go back to the Agency do not have to pay you SSP, you will need to claim at the Job Centre instead. The Agency need to fill in a SSP1 form for you stating why they will not be paying you, and you will take that to the Jobcentre.
In future, if you are temping and are ill you must inform the agency directly, because even if the client decide to keep the job open for you, if you haven't informed the agency who are your employer of your illness, they may argue you do not meet the requirement to get SSP, which technically you would not."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of."
