Take it as a compliment and a tribute to you and all at MSE towers. You and the team gave us empowerment (well I speak for myself and I am sure many others). The main site is a well presented and well thought out site, the forums allow us to "do our bit" by advising and encouraging others. When you write, you come across as taking to us (not down to us as other journalists seem to) and I feel that no matter who we are, our abilities or our circumstances, everyone can feel welcome here.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

I can clearly see why the forum ranked higher than actual site.
In the MSE main site, we see news what might interest me.
In the forum, I can discuss what actually interests me. So forum is more personal.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0
