Experian list all accounts 3 times

Hi all,
I logged into my experian account today and found that all my records have 3 entries although this wasn't the case yesterday.
I now have 30 credit accounts instead of ten when I looked in more detail I can see that the same ones have been duplicated. This means my outstanding cc debt of £500 is now showing as £1500 which is not the case!!
As usuall I am unable to speak to anybody on the telephone so have sent them an email.
I am worried because I am currently applying for a Santander mortgage and don't want an error on experians part to go against me.
Any ideas??
Thanks

Hi, I have the same issue with debts being listed twice, looks like I had loads of accounts instead of the 5 I did. I have heard that potential lenders can not see the duplicate accounts though.
Although you don't mention if any of the accounts went to dca's or if there are any defaults (I assume not with the mortgage app) I read somewhere that the duplicate entries are made when debt is sold on to dca's (I was in a dmp) but I have no idea how much truth is in that?
In saying that, try your equifax report, nothing was listed twice on there for me.Here to offer help and advice, and maybe take a little in return.

Just a quick update. I have had an answer back from experian saying that they had my address down 3 times which was causing the duplicates and they have now rectified it which I have checked and they have.

Ask them to remove the previous searches which were done as a result of youchecking their incorrect data.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Searches created by you checking your own credit report are not seen by lenders and therefore have no effect on credit ratings. Sounds like the problem here wasn't incorrect data but an online membership set up incorrectly. It certainly wouldn't have affected what lenders saw. Anyway, I'm glad we've helped sort this out. Good luck with the mortgage application!
