not sure where i should post this but any help would be great! i currently share a house with my friend and i am registered and pay coucil tax.howevever i am not on the electoral roll.i have avoided this due to a couple of debts that i have been shying away from! i recently checked my credit report and my score is ok even with the debts that are showing on there.my report tells me that not being on the electoral roll is the only thing stopping me from getting credit.i would like to clear my debts but i cannot afford to do this in a short space of time.i considered a debt cosolidation loan but i cant get one due to not being on the roll!if i go on the roll i will be bringing debt collectors to a shared house which would be unfair! really cannot figure out what to do for the best!

A consolidation loan is a silly idea. it only moves your debt around, it does not reduce it.
Consider saving up some money and trying full and finals? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

If you have debt you can't pay now, then it would be stupid to get more debt.
So if you don't need more debt you don't need to be on the electoral role, as the only reason you want to be on the roll is to improve your credit rating.0 -
When you checked your credit report, what address did you provide? If it's the one you're staying at now, that's enough information for your creditors to catch up with you...
Contact CCCS or Payplan who can look at setting up a Debt Management Plan. From what you've said about your credit file, it doesn't sound like you have any defaults. You will end up getting them if you decide to go for a DMP and this will destroy your credit record for up to 6 years so if there's any way you can reduce your costs and keep up wih your payments, this would be the best solution (depending on level of debts and interest etc).0 -
I guess what i really need to know is are there any free organizations that can help me out in dealing with arranging the lowest possible payment plan or getting me the lowest final settlement? thanks.0
