Mrs got paid yesterday and they have taken £241.00 tax and £139.81 NI
on her maternity pay? She has just had the last month @ 90% but given its still maternity pay should they take this much.
She is on tax code 647L and is on a salary of £36k and to date has paid £6082.00 in tax and £3180.01 in NI.
I just trying to work out if she is due a tax rebate as it seems she has paid quiet a bit in both NI and Tax

To check the tax and NI you need to give the gross pay figures,as well as the tax and NI figures. Payments of maternity pay have tax and NI deducted in exactly the same way as salary.0 -

Gross pay to date 36890.92
gross pay for tax to date 36890.92
Tax Paid 6082.20
Earning for NI to date 34371.00
National insurance to date 3180.010 -
By my calculation those figures are correct. Your wife is not due a tax refund.0

Tax is spot on, NI cannot be exactly checked as worked out month by month but certainly looks as if it is correct. As I said maternity pay is worked out exactly the same as normal pay so very unlikely that you would have any problems if everything is usually right.0
