Hi
I have 4 arrangements set up with DCA's to repay existing debt, however my car needs £260 of work to keep it on the road, no car = no job = no money, what can they realistically do if i just give them say a fiver each this month and use the money i would normally pay them to fix my car? as i really cannot afford the repairs. I called one and they were very agressive on the phone demanding that i increase my payment.
All advice greatly appreciated

Haha DCA's really are thick. You are paying them an amount every month and you request a reduced amount for 1 month and because they dont know how to do anything else they just demand more. Remember most of the people you will speak to are just kids in a call centre with little training.
Write them a letter explaining the situation and say that you will revert to your other amount next month. I guarantee they will not be happy but it will be accepted.
For future ref never ring them, send everything recorded and retain a copy of the letter and proof of postage, also dont sign letters.0 -

Not much, apart from huff and puff at you.
The bigger picture is that you need your car on the road to stay in your job and therefore keep paying them - as BCJ says, write to all of them to tell them this, keep copies of the letters and also copies of the receipts for your car work.0
