Help!? reasonable / cheap 48cm /19" dolls clothes wanted

Options
My daughter has a CHOU CHOU 19" / 48cm baby doll and loves it to bits.

She is Autistic and finds it hard to voice what she wants, yet she managed to ask if i would ask father xmas for some clothes for chou chou- i wanted to cry

i had already got her xmas gifts, but as this is all she has actually asked for, i wondered if anyone knew where i can get any from?

they need to be quite cheap, and do not need to be original chou chou ones, as long as they fit a 19"/48cm baby doll.

i cannot use ebay.
Thank you :-)

Those doll outfits are such a rip off. Get some newborn/premature baby clothes from the likes of Ethel Austin etc. Only a couple of pounds for a dress etc...

Or if you have any friends who have babies ask them if they have any baby clothes they no longer need? My 3 yr old has the dress she came home from hospital in on her baby born. :D

Sometimes the charity shops have very good, barely used baby outfits that are lovely. Maybe worth a try.
  • hi there i have 2 children who were both preterm(girl and boy) , i still have the very small clothes which i know family members paid a fortune for. if you would like me to post them to you pm me and i will. i have just bought baby born for my daughter and the clothes are well over priced. they will fit a small doll. i would be very happy to do this
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ~ WOO HOO what a ride!

  • A doll that size will be about the size of a newborn baby, and charity shops often have lovely baby clothes, occasionally still unworn, so I'd try the charity shops, and also other cheap shops which sell baby clothes. Baby clothes often tend to be cheaper than purpose-made dolls' clothes.
