Cheap office furniture...?

Does anybody know any cheap places to buy office furniture in NI?

I'm probably going to be buying a few desks, chairs, bookcases, that sort of thing soon, but I don't want to pay through the nose for the stuff from office equipment suppliers: it's scary how expensive brand new office furniture is!

And I don't really want to hire a van and take the ferry to Ikea (although I will if that's what I have to do to save a few quid!)

Second hand is fine. Suggestions welcome...

Cheers!

  • Try office furniture centre on Victoria Road, Derry. they do 2nd hand I think and will source stuff for you.
  • Seriously, these places often renew furniture and I have picked up a lovely office suite in this way .
  • Ikea can work out as cheap as getting locally. we got a day return mid-week and got display shelves and furniture for a fraction of the costs we were quoted and that was including the crossing. Check out P&O for offers. They run them all the time. Try ikeas website first to see if they have what you're looking for.
  • Keep an eye out for liquidation auctions, you can usually pick up office furniture for next to nothing.

  • when ikea opens in belfast, you will be able to rent out a van (enterprise ) are opening near it. From what i have been told, you can rent out the van by the hour.
  • There are plenty options for you, the one thing I love about Internet is that it provides a solution for everybody. If you decide to get those offices second hand you should have some strict criteria in order to pick the best stuff. Do you need home office furniture or conventional office desks?

  • You should try Davidson's in Bleary between Lurgan and Portadown. They are the cheapest and best place that I know of. They do have a van and may deliver
