have my details been sold on?

We applied for a loan with Norton Finance, who refered us to Express Finance. EF took the details for a joint loan and were to act as our broker....we have had 3 companies contact us - one legit firm who after we said 'no' were fine, then FLM loans and another called Clearview. FLM loans have now left us alone, but Clearview keep on harrasing us. Express gave the first company our details incorrectly and the other two companies have followed the same path with incorrect contact information. So, I suspect they have sold on our information despite telling us they had only contacted the first company.

Clearview will not leave us alone and end up hanging up the phone if I answer because they want to speak with my husband. We don't know what to do and are furious that our details are out on the market. We DO NOT want to be contacted by these firms!

Here is your problem.......................(and were to act as our broker)......that's why you are getting calls.
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

It is what Brokers are there to do, farm your details out to as many loan companies as possible in the hope one of them will offer you a decent loan.

There is nothing else for them to do, brokers do not lend any money out themselves.

You can expect many more calls, from many other companies all trying it on, that's what your broker has managed to obtain for you.
