Yet another old debt story... please help

I recently got contacted (via redirected mail from my previous address) about an old debt.
Wescott want to chase me for £6000+ from an old HSBC loan.
The problem is that according to my credit file, this debt was 'last delinquent' in Oct 05.... making it very close to the 6 years limitations limit (when they can no longer enforce it).

What can I do? Shall I try and stall them and hope they don't raise a CCJ by October this year?
Should I ignore it?
If I ask for proof of the debt, should I give my current address?

Yours, worried.

If it were me, I'd ignore it unless it was a notification of a court date. However my creditors all know where I live so any court papers would come straight to me.

From now until the end of the year will you get all your mail?? Its a difficult one...

Only my opinion - only you can decide.
