im a unemployed single parent,and the jobcentre has told me i have to go on a 13 weeks work trial at, tk maxx in the town centre as any one worked here ,just wondering what it will be like,

its not that bad you might like it.
they'll probably ask you to either work on deliveries or maintaining . .:) depending what time you work.0 -
ill be working 20 hours a week as im a single parent,they have not discussed the times yet ill be starting in may.0

For me these companies give false hope to many people, i always offer to do a half day trial when i go to interviews for me anything longer is exploiting the unemployed, it's time these companies were made accountable and to prove they actually have jobs to give instead of these trials.0

To give a slightly different view - my eldest son did a work trial 2 years ago for a company as an admin / IT clerk, did his 13 weeks, tey took him on and have given him 2 payrises since then.
So it isn't always just "free labour" or a non-existent job.0
