Looking for reliable online bed shop

Options
Hiya guys

My very old 2nd hand pine bedframe has finally died. Can anyone recommend a reliable online stockist?

I'd like to treat myself to a new one but my budget is very tight (below £150 & delivery).

I want to buy a metal Double size frame. I've seen a reasonable one on Dreams website

http://www.dreams.co.uk/bedsteads/bedsteads/metal/metal-steads/roma-bedstead/211-00110/product/

but I'd like to shop around for something similar (and cheaper) if poss :)

thanks in advance

I bought my bed from Tesco last year
the bed was sent straight from the supplier and I had to wait a few weeks but thoroughly recommend
don;t know if they do the sort of bed you're after

I can really recommend a company called erm...think it was mattress-sales.co.uk. You'd best google for the exact website address though. I got the exact same bed I'd seen in Dreams at £380 (reduced from £430!) for £215 with free next dec delivery. Excellent friendly (and HONEST) customer service. Mind you, if you google the model name of the bed you'll no doubt find umpteen places selling it cheaper than Dreams.

    Hope this helps.

I bought a 1 x Serene Tetras (Silver & Beech) 4'6" Double Bed Frame Silver from www.manstores.co.uk for £105.., it was the cheapest price I could find for that kind of bedframe. I found a double super orthopaedic mattress http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4ft6-New-Luxury-Super-Orthopaedic-Mattress-RRP-220-/280634345709?pt=Beds_Mattresses&hash=item41571c48ed 280634345709?pt=Beds_Mattresses&hash=item41571c48edon ebay. Its not a £600 mattress but has helped enormously when my back has played up (its extremely comfortable and well stuffed but I must admit the edges of the mattress are not as well supported as I'd like lol). But when all is said and done I think I did very well indeed for the money I could pay out. I've bought mattresses for more in a shop, and felt every single spring lol. Delivery was free for both items i think. Both delivered within a couple of days. Both products are like new 6 months later.

Going by some of the other posts on here, you might want to look at some of the older bed and mattress threads, as there was a very knowledgeable chap called Tim Deegan who gave a lot of very good advice. I used to be in the trade for quite a few years, and although I agree with most of what he says, my knowledge isn't anywhere near the level of his.

I would be very wary buying online especially mattressman, if you do check the mattress all over.. keep the driver waiting before you sign... my mattress was too short in both length and width.. they lied to me on the phone about the mattress being stored on its side and give it a couple of weeks and it will fill out.. if not.. then was to phone them back...

The trick is to take you outside the 7 day period where you can insist they replace or refund.. just be careful..

mattressman.co.uk ripped me for £600. half price bargain apparently.....
