We haven't had any through in ages- probably not since the printers came into the stores. Even those are rubbish to us now- no money off for ages, just bonus nectar points and that has reduced from 400-200 when you spend £100!

Me too...so I use one in Sainsburys, then some of the others in Tesco. These seems to strike a nice balance as Sainsburys usually sends me more thinking I am not really using the vouchers :D

  • I wonder if they are worked out on the monetary value you normally spend then ? I never do my main shop at sainsburys but pick up bits n pieces there fairly often , also buy clothes there.

Yep, this is the case - I used to work on Sainsbury's mailings (a while ago) and this is how they generate the data. Depends on your spend.

I registered my other half for a separate Nectar card, and use his for a few bits and bobs of top up shopping, and maybe the big weekly shop every so often, using mine the rest of the time. His vouchers are loads better than mine, usually more money off a lower spend, as my Nectar card shows I do my main shop there anyway, so they send me a bit of money off if I spend more, whereas his it looks like he doesn't shop there much so they know they need to do more to get him in.

Both Tesco and Sainsburys are pretty clever with their vouchers, and Boots too now also with their stuff, as our loyalty cards hold so much info about our spending habits that they can use to their advantage to try and get us to spend more.

I spend at least £100 a week on an online shop at Sainsburys and buy bits in store too. I never get these vouchers. It really annoys me that I've never had them. I do find if I defect to Ocado for a few weeks Sainsburys give me a tenner to go back.

I got these. Sometimes I use them at Sainsburys online for bulky stuff to be delivered and then use the same voucher instore at Tesco's for my fresh foods. Don't get that much every week but some weeks It's handy for £24 off £120;)

£2 off £20 for me, I'll use mine at Tesco as I can rarely find enough good offers at Sainsbury's to add up to £20.
