Refrences?

I have an interview tommorow and have been asked to complete some forms they have sent out. Equal op forms etc including giving refrences. Now they need a min of 2 refrences and they say they must be previous employers 5 years worth. If you have worked in your employment for 5 or more years then your previous employer will need to be put down. However i have worked for the same company for 5 years and it was my first eve job. I did go to college briefley but can not think of anyone who knows me from then.
I do have an old manager who has since left my company i could use but not sure what to put.

Can you contact the job and explain? See if they'll accept either 2 references from the same place or if not will they accept a character reference and then see if a friend can do one for you? (either one of your friends or a family friend, but not any member of your family)Saved: £1566.53/ £20000

Assuming that you are about 21, a reference from school might be appropriate.0

Im 22 but not really sure if there is anyone at the school who new me well. In any other interviews i have had they are fine for an employer reference and then a character reference.LBM 11/10

I'd take along those and see what they say. Just explain that if they want one from school then your happy to get one, even if you don't think they knew you well at least it's an option. I really don't think one employer and one character will be an issue though as they will be able to see it's the only job you've had since schoolSaved: £1566.53/ £20000 -

Schools are able to provide references for some time after students have left as these can be done from the records. It's normally the head teacher who you would give as a reference anyway.0
