  • I read the Guardian and the Indy (lefty alert!). OH buys the Times on a Saturday, which I refuse to do on the principle of not giving Rupert Murdoch any money, so I still get the advantage of the big crossword and none of the guilt.

    Independent or Gaurdian.

I sometimes nab a copy of the FT going when walking through the first class carriages to get to cattle class on my journey (don't feel in anyway guilty about it either).

    Subscribe to the economist.
"An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".

    !!!!!! is all that about?
  • If you want a truly unbiased poll where is the Mail on Sunday in the list of sunday papers? Have read it since it was introduced (changed from S. Express)
A brilliant read - have any of you knockers read it - or are the words in it too long ?

I only buy newspapers if there are REALLY good bargains inside... otherwise, I can get all the news from the net nowadays...

I have the Guardian on a Saturday, and The Observer on a Sunday. I subscribe to the Economist too. I occasionally buy papers during the week.
  • I dont buy newspapers, however i do have an app for the guardian on my phone, and i only read it for the Ben Goldacre articles, he's great :)

I just don't like any newspapers - they all reflect their editorial team's own preferences (and prejudices), and so many continually whip up hysteria about issues over which people are uneasy. There are also continually reported as 'news' things that aren't news at all or are simply untrue. Am I'm afraid that I am one of the Daily Mail knockers referred to above - I think it is the worst offender of them all.

I try to get the Daily Mail every day but sometimes it sells out early on. If there are none left I don't buy any of the others. I particularly like Tuesday and Fridays Mail because I love reading Richard Littlejohns articles. Sometimes he has me in hysterics! :rotfl:
    Saturday.... Mail and Times.
    Sunday ...none.

I don't buy papers that often, however I read most of the daily ones at work when its quiet. Start with the Sun (the problem pages are brilliant!), then its whatever we have left. Only one I don't read is the Guardian, as its too big to read lol.
What is pi? Where did it come from?
