I have a ccj which I was ordered to pay £100 per month, but I just haven't got the money. I didn't really know what I was doing so just let the judgement go through. I can afford £30 this month should I ring them and offer it and can they refuse even if they see me trying to pay it?

Hi
CCJs are a priority debt. if you cannot afford the court order payment, you need to ask for a redetermination to reduce the payments. Otherwise the creditor can take further action against you.
if you have other non-prioirity debts you are paying, you need to stop them this month and sort out the CCJ.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Thanks anyway, not sure what i have to do then all our moneys spoken for this month, mortgage, water rates, tv licence, and mortgage cover. Was gonna not pay the mortgage cover so I could pay the ccj. How do I do a redetermination and do I have to pay for it?0

Read this NDL leaflet http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=08_reducing_payments_or_suspending_a_bailiffs_warrant_on_a_county_court_judgment
I suggest you also give them a call and talk your situation over with them.
Any chance of doing a car boot sale etc and raising some cash that way?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
