dunno which one to get, so many differing reviews. What in your opinions/experiences is a good one to go for?

Go for the Panasonic SD253 - the cheapest place should be Amazon.

It's the best on the market. However, there may be ones that are better value (i.e. do less but cost a lot less).

Definitely the Panasonic SD253.

I've been researching BMs for ages with a view to getting one and this one comes out the best by far.

There are lots of threads that should help you on the Old Style board. Here is the link to the Complete Breadmaking Collection where you'll find lots of threads discussing breadmakers.

Lots of people love the Panasonic which came out top in the Which report, but I recently bought the Morphy Richards fast bake (which came second in the Which report) and I love it and it is quite a bit cheaper than the Panasonic.

Let me know if you want me to move your thread over to the Old Style board.

If you decide on the SD253, which I whole-heartedly recommend, you can get it in Costco for £76.xx inc VAT.

We got a Bifinett bread maker from Lidl for £19.99 earlier this year. Used every week and does a great job!
