bigedy33, since the credit report is all 1s it'll have no effect unless you're borrowing from the same company that had the late payments, which might see the information on an internal report. Good news. No reason to be concerned about applying.

1s are good. That means you have probably got away with it.

However, I am going to give you a slapped wrist as 5 late payments in 8 months deserves a slap. ;)

Thanks for all the very helpful advice, you've certainly eased my worries. Though I won't be able to relax until a lender says yes.
Now all we need to do is get Pre planning approval before someone else buys it lol. With my experience with planners that may be easier said than done!

Don't worry dunstonh, once I explain to my other half I'm sure she'll be more than ready to give me a slap!

Do what most men would do. Don't tell her and hope it doesn't become an issue (which it probably wont). :)

  • Sorry to drag up an old thread but I was reading through this as I recently missed a single payment on my credit card.

The guys posting on this thread agree that having '1's in the credit card payments section of a credit report is good. I wanted to check what that means, because I thought that was a bad thing as it meant repeated missed payments.

Presumably once my late payment hits my credit report it'll say '0 0 0 0 1' because I've always made my payments in full and on time. Can someone explain this? I'm a bit confused.

Best to start a new thread with your specific questions on it.

Then you'll receive more comments. ;)
