Designer Bedding (Resale Opportunity) @ Homesense Merry Hill

I was in my favourite home store again; and this time I decided to buy bedding and sell it on, instead of for myself. I know the Orla Kiely and Cath Kidston duvet sets have been mentioned before, but my local has only just had them back in. They're Both Priced between £30 to £45 depending on size; and pillowcases are between £5 and £10.
They also had the Orla Kiely Beach Towels @ £14.99, you can also make a profit on those!
I have seen both sell on ebay for nearly double what you can buy them for. As well as these, they also had Lacoste and Diesel Bedding in the clearance. These were in clearance and had three red stickers on. I bought a Diesel bed set for my self, reduced from £79.99 to £27.
Might be worth a look in your local.

Do you by any chance work for this retailer? You've only made two posts on this forum and each of them have been for this retailer.
Their prices seem to be what I would have thought would be the going rate for bedding, £27, £30 or £45 for a set isn't exactly bargain of the year!0 -
I'm sure I got a whiff of spam then......Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0

Are you registered as a business seller and pay tax on ebay? Just wondered as I know some resellers and one was caught out. He was making so much that it took him with his salary into the 40% tax bracket and he lost his tax credits too. I'd be too scared to do it as a private seller.0

Hiya, i'm sure the taxman wouldn't mind if it's only one or two.0 -

I don't work for them, no i'd love to. The thing is, this is DESIGNER bedding, the sort that carries and sells at higher prices. Although £27-£45 seems expensive, it's relatively cheap for these designers. I've only posted about homesense because i love my brands, i also really like brandalley, but people beat me to posting these offers.0 -
I love Homesense, it's like TKMax, well it's the same people, but homewares. Really appeals to my love of bargain hunting.
So there.:wall:0 -

Be careful, because HMRC will mind and will chase you if you are reported (by an ebay competitor, perhaps?)
Also be aware that ebay are making fairly regular rounds of demands for private ebay sellers to upgrade to business accounts if patterns of business selling emerge on your account. This means you lose eligibility for free listing weekends, you must put your address and contact details on every listing, and you have to accept returns and abide by distance selling regs.0 -
Ebay is flooded with orla keily as t k maxx have it at the moment. You wouldn't make a profit on a £15 bath towel as they just are not selling. Pillowcases are £7.99 in tk max, duvet covers about£40 and giant towels £12-14.
I got 2 lovely hand towels for £9.99 each
So as the op says- great prices if you want them for yourself- I think you will have to wait a long time to see a profit until there are less about
Homesense and t k maxx are the same company0
