My Diary (for what its worth)

  • After a difficult weekend during which food spending was quite high, though there is now enough meat in the freezer to take us through a few days time to rein back.
Also a difficult weekend (non financially) due to teenagers antics.
    Hoping for a NSD today.
ebay shows 3 items bid on at 99p and 4 others being watched. Can't imagine there'll be any big sales.
No targets set today as feeling kna*$ered, too busy clearing up after weekend, and also had to pick up unwell son from school.
    Owing £4359.71 as at 22/03/11
  • Managed a NSD yesterday. Won't be one today. Run out of bread and a few other bits.
Pointed out to bank that a cheque I wrote for £25.00 had cleared as £25:07. Felt like I was nit picking but it's the principle.
Todays targets - get clean washing away
    Keep spend below £5.
    Clean bathroom.
Continue setting up bank account details on spreadsheet.

Does anyone know a free Personal Finance software program where you can inout all your regular incomings and outgoings so you can project to a future date to see your balance?

  • Woo hooo, this time around my Job Seekers Allowance claim has gone through.

Hopefully won't be needing it for too long as I have an interview of a p/t job tomorrow.

As usual the housework items have been overlooked. After interview realised only one more day before end of term so decided to get off to Tescos and stock up. Usual Tescos shop is around £120, only spent £84.19. DD2 looks like she'll be off sick today so am glad I got to Tesco yesterday.
Looks like we'll be able to make this month's mortgage repayment without dipping further into debt.

Microsoft Money is now available as a free download as they've stopped supporting it meaning there won't be any updates but it should do what you need. Available from the Microsoft website.

Good luck with the money saving.
    Whatever
