Android Tablet PC - under £50 at Hardwareheroes

For those of us who can't afford a high end tablet PC, the Eken M001 is a good budget alternative.

Great for reading emails or surfing the net - or, god forbid, read an e-book lol.

Quite a lot of Apps available for download on the Android market too - I forget how many but its tens of thousands I think.

Seems to be on special offer at £49.99 - I paid a lot more than that for mine but really worth it even at that.

Does this actually have access to the market? Not all android devices do...

Don't waste your money on this folks, bought one very similar to this (white version) on ebay last year and it is utterly useless due to it's very unresponsive touch screen. The screen quality is just dreadful and it's truely a horrible little 'device' that has been sat in it's box since the day we bought it collecting dust.

This runs on Android 1.6. The chip is slow. Resolution not good. Screen poor

Etc etc. Save up and get yourself a better device.
  • Sorry to disagree with the rest of you but mine came with android market installed, seems to be running android 2.0 and the screen, although no ipad, is quite responsive.

I was made aware at the time about cheaper clones not having android market and displaying the syptoms you describe however. Looks like it depends on where you buy it?

What can you get for £49.99 ?
