:(I am starting to sort out my debt problems I hope and have at long last listed who I owe what to. Hope that is the right way to start.
Because I had to give up work 3 years ago due to ill health, I have much less income than I had. I am on incapacity benefit and have been overpaid by over £2k but they have come to an agreement to pay that back. However, my total income is now down £240.00 a month and that has made me take a look at everything so maybe it is not such a bad thing.
Anyway, I now just need to get my head around the cc situation so wish me luck!

Hello Dukess,
It takes alot of courage to get to where you are now and face the situation so well done :T
There will be others along with more advice but keep visiting and reading the boards and you will find this to be a great support.0 -

Well done for taking the step and facing it. I've had my share of life-disasters and I live on sickness benefits too now. You're taking the exact right approach in being pragmatic about it and trying to see the positives. Some days you may feel rather woe-is-me about how things have panned out but themore days you can pick yourself up and go onwards the better overall you will do; both in terms of physical recovery (to whatever extent is possible) and recovering your life.
If you want some help with your actual situation then feel free to give us a few more numbers, or if you just want support you have come to a good place for it.
Chin up, and make a deliberate mental note of one of your better days (today will do fine) to refer to if a woe-is-me day should sneak up on you. You will get there, one way or the other. There's a lot of DFW's who will get there along side you too if you fancy the virtual-company.I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)
As of the last count I have cleared [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt.
