Looking for advice on my re-mortgage options (if I have any!)

Hi everyone, I used to use this board frequently and kept up to date but I’m afraid I’ve been out of the loop for a while now. Hope you're all OK!

I'm hoping someone who’s familiar with the current situation out there can give me some advice on where I stand.

My mortgage is now with N-Ram, after the Northern Rock incident. It’s 100K on their VBR rate of 4.78%. According to the internet, my home should be valued at around 110K but in reality there are others struggling to sell at 100K so I’m potentially in the negative as things are.

I’ve no problems meeting the payments but do I have any options at all anyway -

I’m guessing re-mortgaging isn’t an option and I’m going to just have to bare with it and hope for the best...

Any advice is appreciated,

Overpay as much as you possibly can and try to get your LTV down in order to get a deal elsewhere. Debt Free Wannabee forums can help you budget.

We re in exactly the same situation as you. No problem paying mortgage but since we got mortgage 5 years ago we also have more debt now. We have the together mortgage so are feeling really rather hopeless at the moment. No option except to stay put!

Yeah I'm sure we aren't the only ones as well! We also got our mortgage about 5 years ago.
