ALDI/Medion PC

Hey - my first post on the boards, nice to be here.

I have spotted on the ALDI website that they have a PC on sale on the 3rd December. The website states - 'Coming Soon –
MD 8818 Multimedia Entertainment PC'
and a picture is provided.

I just want to know, does anyone know how much it will be about? Or, could anyone hazard a guess?

Cheers.

The price has been confirmed at £549 and amazing value for the price. i think it also includes a 3 year warranty (onsite I believe but please check).

If it's any help I bought a Medion PC from ALDI many years ago, had a problem with it at first and the telephone support was second to none. Engineer even came out to fix it. Couldn't reccomend them more.

    PC still running :)
  • I too bought a medion pc from Aldi at least 3 years ago, I am no pc expert but a friend who is, said the value for money was excellent. I have added a dvd re writer and that is all I have had to do, it has a tv card, I bought a set of 5-1 speakers and it also acts as an excellent music system, would highly recommend one. ps I paid about £800 at the time
  • I'm looking to buy this, it has one of Intel's super quick dual core processor just need to find out how many memory card slots it has, it's got 1 GB RAM if it only has two slots and 2 x 512 MB cards and you want to upgrade later to say...2GB, you would need to replace the memory sticks instead of adding to them, still great value though.

Wouldn't want to be a killjoy, but it's only good value if it does what you want. I have a feeling that if you are into games, that the graphics performance may be pretty poor. I'm not sure, just offering a word of caution.

Specs have been released and while I have not checked they claim the graphics are good enough for "full-on HD gaming power and high quality PC video performance"
