Which product to save in for additional pension?

I've got a company pension that should give me a final pension of around £18kpa at 65 but I can draw down part of old fund which will be frozen when I'm 60. I'd like to have an additional pension income of £4k pa from 60. I'm in my late 30's so was thinking mid - high risks. However I'm confused as to how/where to save it. Is a stakeholder pension what I want or avc's? I'm in 40% tax bracket so if I save outside of my company pension how do I ensure i get the tax relief on this?
I'm probably asking the most basic questions and I know the replies are only individuals personal opinions not a professional ones.
Thanks for any replies in advance.

Stakeholder, personal pension, SIPP, AVC, hybrid top up scheme, S&S ISA are all potential options. Which is best will depend on current and future taxation based on your circumstances as well as your objectives.
It isnt really possible to say which is best without knowing your details. All of them will be better than nothing. The fine tuning as to which is best requires more detail.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
