Live in Belfast and need to move a suite of furniture from family member. Car too small.
Where would I rent a van?
How much are u talking, would it be per hour/ day?
Thanks in advance for replies.

You would probably be cheaper booking a "man with a van" for a hour. Look in the local ads, ads for free, gumtree etc.

If you have a towbar? Hire a car trailer from one of the tool Hire centers

  • There is a van rental place on the Antrim Road, just opposite the waterworks park, that I used a few years ago. They were the cheapest I found, although sorry I cant remember the price. Vans are not exactly state of the art, but did the job for me.
Oh and you can rent it for a couple of hours, doesnt have to be all day.

No they aren't!!! They also advertise "We'll pick you up" but try them on that. Agree with some of the other posts that a trailer hire or "van with man" option is probably going to work out cheaper.:money:

LOL I used one of their vans to move house a few years ago, it was old, battered and bruised, smoked like someone with a 50 a day habit and struggled to make it up the slightest hill. There was no tax or psv disc in the window. Cheapest i could find and did the job perfectly. I'd use them again :D

You are probably sorted by now but I saw a sign at Holmes motors on the Woodstock Rd. advertising 1/2 day van hire £30
