Ear piercing in Hamilton or EK?
Our family are unusual, in that neither I nor my 2 daughters have our ears pierced. My middle duaghter has asked for this for her 17th birthday. Can anyone recommend somewhere to get this done?
I am prejudiced against Claire's, as I've heard so many horror stories about infected ears after having it done there

I would suggest finding a reputable piercing/tattoo parlour with good reviews - it is much better to have professional needle piercings rather than the gun thingies that places like Claire's use. I can't recommend anywhere specific but Googling should get you some names and customer reviews.
Wherever you go, make sure that the piercer wears gloves and uses sterile equipment, and your daughter should have no problems.0 -
Uncertain about EK or Hamilton but if you happen to be in Glasgow any time soon then Nirvana and Glasgow Piercing Studios are both very good. I've had various piercings done by each of them and they are very clean and very helpful and knowledgable about aftercare.Debt: Started at £4780, now at £4190

There are several places in Hamilton. Not sure of all the names. Infinite Ink is on the road to Strathavan, just before Cadzow Bridge about a mile from the top cross. Have heard it is reptable. http://www.infinite-ink.com/.
There are another 2 that I know about one in Gateside Street and one in Woodside Walk. Both are nearer the town but don't know about reputation.0 -
My niece got her ears pierced at Claires as did my friends daughter and her friends and none of them had the slightest bit of trouble.0

Lorraine's is on Woodside Walk and Kenny's Gateside St. I know a few people who have had tatoos from both of these places. In terms of piercings head into town for Nirvana - great reputation and I know a lot of people who highly recommend there. No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380 -
I took my DD to a local piercing studio rather than claire's. Be aware they are not allowed to use any freeze above the neck, so no pain relief there.
They will probably use a gun to do it, something to do with the fleshiness of the ear lobe.
DD was given saline solution to use to keep her ears clean and told to go back for more for free if she needed it, overall I was impressed with the service.
Look for your local one and Google it for reviews.Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
