With regard to the long term proposal to merge income tax and National Insurance, it's not only savers who will need safeguarding Martin.
Those of us in receipt of a pension currently pay tax on it but not NI. If the two are merged, what's the betting it will be used as yet another convenient excuse to short change the pensioner because we are an easy target.
It has already happened with the move from RPI to CPI for index linking ... one of the shabbiest stunts ever pulled by any government!... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0
