Well as my five year fixed in ending in April 2016 im able to reserve the current rate for six months before my fix term ends with First Direct. Currently the two mortgages they have for my LTV are a 2.39% five year fixed with a fee of £450 and a fee free one at 2.54% looks like it will work out cheaper overall to get the fee free one (I think)
It looks as though I can get a better rate else where but I am yet to find a standard fixed repayment mortgage which allows unlimted overpayments with no penaltys. Does anyone know of such a mortgage? Not really interested in offset mortgages.Original mortgage £158,000 over 25 years, end date 2036

Thanks Luckyinlife getting under 100K mark would be a big landmark for me! slowly getting there. With Christmas just around the corner its time for the last overpayment of the year. £450 whacked down on the mortgage leaving the outstanding balance of £108,454. More importantly I have hit my yearly target, £6,000 was overpaid in 2015. Whoo Hoo!!
Happy Christmas to all the inspiring money savers on here.Original mortgage £158,000 over 25 years, end date 2036
