Harassing calls at work

Options
I am new to the site and any advice would be grateful
I am getting automated calls at work from a creditor, but they do not leave a number. Is there anyway I can find out who it is so I can complain. It is affecting my work and embarassing as any number of colleagues can answer the phone.
Thanks claypath

This is nigh on exactly what I have just typed to someone else but...

Something you should see is the OFT guidance for DCA's (debt collection agencies), it is called OFT664, you can search it online or click here to download it (.pdf). See points 2.2f, 2.2g, 2.6a, and 2.6j in particular (but check the clarification notes on the end).

Send a letter (send it by recorded post) to say something along the lines of: I am aware of the OFT guidance for debt collection (OFT664) and I demand in writing that you stop calling me at work immediately. To continue to do so would be contrary to 2.2f, 2.2g. 2.6a and 2.6j of OFT664, so should the calls not stop immediately you recieve this letter I shall be complaining to bodies to include, but not limited to, the OFT, the FOS and trading standards. I shall also have to consider having my company invoice you for misuse of staff time and I may consider invoicing you myself for the inconvenience at the rate of £50 per call, email, sms or other communication recieved.

That really is stamping on them with a pair of jackboots.
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(

Oh sorry you don't know who it is- answer one of the calls, that'll tell you.
