Global test markets surveys

I signed the day before yesterday and did my first paid survey today (well tried) but part way through got a message saying something like 'you are needed more on a different survey" and I'm then taking to a prize draw survey which I got screened out of. I then tried my other paid survey available to me and the exact same thing happened got moved to a prize draw survey. I don't want prize draw surveys I want paid surveys! Is GTM always like this? Am I wasting my time?

Thanks,

Simon.

They always offer you a prize draw survey at the end of anything you do, whether you're screened out or do the full survey. It's their way of profiling you and matching surveys better. I never do the prize draw ones - can't be bothered spending the time for a few prize draw entries - but it doesn't seem to affect the number of "paid" ones I get.
Most survey sites screen you out at some point, especially if you wait a day or two before entering and they've reached the target number of participants. Persevere with GTM though and try to check and enter as soon as you can - they don't give as many points as they used to, but you will get enough "proper" ones if you stick with it.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

    Ok thanks for that.

I don't mind getting me screened out every now and then what I was annoyed about was that the two paid surveys I took swapped me onto prize draw ones half way through!

    I'll stick at it though!

    Hi SG,
I've been a member of GlobalTestMarket for a couple of years now, and tend to cash out at 1000 points every 3 or 4 months. Overall I've found that their surveys are well thought out, you don't get kicked out after feeling like you've done most of the survey (often!!) and I tend to feel that completing the prize draw surveys you get more invites to paid surveys.... at least, after any survey you get directed to the survey hub and you'll often be offered a survey that isn't emailed out to you.
    HTH! Stick with it :)

I used to get accepted for several surveys a week with GTM, but not now, even though I respond as soon as I get email. I get screened out around question three nearly every time. Also, I can only remember one or two of the alternatives working in last six months as they are usually closed.

But as I am nearly threequarters of way to payout, I'll plod on and put up with the excessive "Wows!" and "Bummer!" I can sometimes be heard saying a word that rhymes with the latter when I'm booted off....

Edited to add - just been kicked off after completeing nearly 50% of a survey with the "we have enough people who meet criteria....". I had already completed several full pages of many questions about my shopping habits, spending over last year and shops visited etc. This really is not on.

I was "sceened out" last week after spending over half an hour on a survey. Emailed them and they don't want to know - disgusting!:mad::mad:

Have complained again and will keep bugging them - as you said, it's just not on.

    Thanks,

It is curious wording, isn't it? I wonder whether it is just another way of saying you don't meet the criteria - if they were diverting me from surveys that I do meet criteria for to rubbish prize draw ones just because they can't fill them I think that is a bit dubious. Having said that I think GTM are one of the best overall so I would keep going. I never bother with the prize draw ones tho... Also, if you log on to the website you can see all the surveys that are available (no way of telling how much they pay before you click on them though.)

These survey sites aren't regulated so they get away with anything they wish. They know that they can get away with taking advantage of people and that no one can do anything.
