It's worth keeping an eye on Amazon Marketplace for the Lord Of The Rings trilogy boxset. I got one brand new and sealed the other day for £12.50 and delivery is only £1.24

I know, but if you read many of the reviews for the extended boxset they often state that it makes a very long film over long.
I think 3 hours per film's enough for me.0 -
Amazon's own price is now down to £13.97 and the Marketplace prices are just over £11.0

Look here http://www.find-dvd.co.uk/ for DVD price comparisons.
This box set comes out cheapest @ £12.06 inc postage http://www.find-dvd.co.uk/EDV9231.htm
This site is also good for book comparisons, look at the search list on the left.
Hope this helps someone.:j0 -
Someone at work just told me today that a web site called Play.com, I think, was selling this trilogy for around £9 or so, which sounded a good deal. Haven't checked it out yet, but might be worth a trawl.0

That's true!
It makes the already long and fairly boring Return Of The King extremely boring. However, the additions to the first two episodes are minimal and interesting like seeing the wood elves in the first episode.
