I don't understand the OP being forced to spend £45 a month on her employer's goods.
If my employers tried that on me, there would be a very swift falling out.
The Truck Acts outlawed payment by goods in the 1400s.
It seems to me insisting £45 of wages is spent on the employer's goods is perilously close to a truck system.

They dont force me to spend £45!! Sorry, I don't think I explained that very well
I get a fab discount on the items and we are asked to wear up to date items, I haven't bought anything for about a month now though and not getting in trouble, just feel a bit behind!
Thanks Hannah, I think I need to stop being such a pansy about it, man up a bit and show these debt collectors who's boss. Like you say, if I haven't got the money they can't flippin have it!
Have just been looking through some old threads and found the old Ebay one about random items selling for a fair bit so am gonna have a rummage around. I've got a reaaaaally old HMV gramaphone and loooooads of vinyls I might put on there and see what I get!
Forgot to add we're trying to pay for a wedding as well, luckily mummy and daddy's credit card is taking quite a bashing for that.. (don't know where I got my debt creating from.. they're brilliant with money and have kindly offered use of their card for the big day)0
