Work dilemma

Thank you for all your responses and advice. I'm going to stick with it for the time being and look round for something with more suitable hours as suggested, suppose I should just be greatful I have a job to go too!
Thanks again all.0 -
Have you thought about putting together a good c.v. and sending a speculative letter to other care providers in the area? How about doing home care work, which tends to be more daytime shifts rather than overnight?
Are there any recruitment agencies who offer care placement you could approach?
Maybe have a word with your employer (they will need to know as they will be asked for a reference) and let them know that it's only the night shifts that are forcing you to look for alternative employment.
Best of luck with finding something else.0 -
Well it's easy for me to say but don't underestimate how much £62 per week is actually worth! That's £268 per month! You could have a wonderful holiday each year with that money.
Some people have to work nights every week, so 3 times per month it's not so bad is it? Also, the longer you work somewhere, the more negotiating power you have over getting the hours that suit you best. You could want to get back into work before long anyway and will find yourself back at square one having to fit into a new employer's shift patterns when you could've slotted nicely into something that works far better with your current employer by then.0
