Remortgage

Hi, currently on Northern Rock Together mortgage.

Bought in Feb 2006 for 85k

80k mortgage
5k Loan

Currently owe:
76k Mortgage
3k Loan

I earn 28.5k, and my girlfriend is on maternity and still getting full pay (18k), she will be going down to part time and should bring home 7k a year.

We have come out of our fixed term with NR and are currently on the SVR.

My question is I have no idea what my LTV is? We put the house up for sale briefly in mid 2009 for 95k but decided to stay so took it off.

I've got 1.5 k on credit card but it's on 0% and I've never missed a payment, currently overpaying and should be gone this month or next. Got a student loan if that matters - no other debts.

Zoopla says 74k and another one says 80k lower - 100k upper.

Thoughts on getting a fixed deal?
Could we get a mortgage for 79k and pay the loan and mortgage back to NR? or do they have to be kept apart?

Thanks
Rangers

You dont know what your home is worth and neither do we !
With the details you have given I would guess that you have little if any equity so you cant remortgage to another lender.
Best thing you can do is build up savings and overpay mortgage which is difficult when your girlfriend is on maternity leave and you have a new baby on the way.
Use this site to save money and good luck with the baby
