ISP launches push to stamp out 'criminal' coupon abuse

The Institute of Sales Promotion (ISP) is launching a campaign to stop what it calls the "abuse" of money-off coupons that costs suppliers an estimated £60m a year.
ISP director-general Edwin Mutton slammed retailers such as Tesco and Sainsbury's in an interview with Marketing Week earlier this year (MW September 21), accusing them of accepting coupons without selling the products.

Sainsbury's doesn't. Tesco's does. Dunno why they're going after Sainsbury's. It'll all die down in a few months.0

Actually, I got confused (I've a lot on my mind, family Christmas to organise!) in Sainsburys a while back - thought I was in Tesco, and handed over some coupons - they took them anyway! Must have just got lucky.0

I guess the ISP has to do something to justify their existence, I'd never heard of them before this!0
