I want to be OS!!

cooking from scratch isnt hard. it just takes a bit of planning and shopping.
pasta dishes, especially if you buy fresh pasta takes literally minutes. Stir fry, omelettes....x x x0 -
Thanks for your replies
One little thing... my name isn't Rob, it's my surname that's Roberts (I'm a girl
!)
Regarding the cooking from scratch, I do do that, and I do clean when I can, the big problem I have is lack of time at home (although this varies) and not being very good at returning to routine when I am home after being away.
Do any of you work full time and be OS?
I really do think it would be a good idea for me to do a storecupboard challenge - I have a really bad habit of buying things 'on offer' or to make a special recipe (from scratch
!)
Thanks again0 -
:rotfl: easy mistake to make, I presume you're not short, or 16 either thenLowRob16 wrote:Thanks for your replies

my surname that's Roberts
AND ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LMAO and ive just been doing my family tree too! your not related to a Reginald Painter are you???? lol:pTime to find me again0 -
OP
Most people here work full time, indeed the true old stylers of our foremothers would be raising 8 kids, hubby out all the time, cottage industry from home AND cooking from scratch ( thats my late nana im talking about - what a woman!
)
Cooking from scratch takes no time really, particulalry if you plan in advance a bit. Eg, when weve been working, while OH does washing up I prep the veg for tea the next day- and get the right meat etc out of the freezer. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
No, not short or 16, I'm afraid - my name's Lowri and I live at no 16 :rotfl:
I don't know if this makes me strange, but I find it nice to hear that there are other people in a similar situation to me (working full time and living on my own) who are OS.
It seems it needs to be one step at a time. I'm going to start with a storecupboard challenge - I will post what I have in case I'm stuck for ideas.
Thanks again :A0 -
Sorry Lowri, I think it was my fault everyone called you RobLowRob16 wrote:Thanks for your replies

Yep, both me and OH work fulltime, with me bieng out of the house for about 13 hours a day, plus we have a little boy.
It is hard, but if it's something you really want to do then you'll find that will be your motivation
