If i paid someones credit card off for them but later split from them can i claim this back? and how many years after can i claim this back?

If you pay off someone else's debt then you're effectively gifting them the money and have no comeback down the line.
If you want to formally loan money to this someone else, with an agreement down in writing, then slightly better. Still wouldn't recommend it though.0 -
You can claim it back, from them, but they are under no obligation to repay you.
Can you imagine the chaos there would be if people could go back over many years of financial transactions made during a relationship to extract what each had contributed?loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0
