Hi
Even though I am on a DMP with CCCS, MBNA are saying that they can't put me on a DMP unless I pay them more money. (they want more than double what they are currently getting through CCCS). They have now sent a letter saying that if I didn't respond to them before a certain date they could pass to a DCA. I sent them a note via secure message reminding them that I am on a DMP with CCCS and my payments will continue to be paid via them. This is how I know that they want more.
Why do they seem to think that I need to be on a seperate DMP with them when I am on a DMP with CCCS? Even if I could increase what I pay to match what they want CCCS would distribute between all the creditors.
Has anyone else had this with MBNA? Any suggestions?
Thanks

I've seen similar posts from other people katu.
All you can do is as you have been doing - stick to your guns and tell them that based on your current financial position and the terms of your DMP with CCCS the repayments will remain at £X.
Might be no bad thing if they pass you on to a DCA anyway - sometimes its easier to get them to agree to your DMP.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Thanks Tixy. Seems MBNA think that they are more of a priority.
CCCS said not to worry about DCA as they wouldn't think it would be cost effective but it's not easy not to worry about it.0 -
Hi Katu,
If you look up MBNA on the forum I think you'll find they ALWAYS seem to think that they are of a higher priority than any other creditor. Pretty arrogant really. Have a look if you think you need a bolster.
