Hi everyone:)
Hoping someone maybe able to recommend a good self tan:o
I am very fair (red hair and blue eyes) and I don't tan at all in sunlight:o I would really like to try a self tan to give myself a little colour but I really don't know which to go for and there are soooo many out there to choose from!
Does anyone know of a brand that won't go too dark or too orange and that is easy to apply?
Sorry I have so many questions I'm just a bit scared of trying one and then looking like I have been tango'd.
Thanks in advance:)

i quite like the garnier summer body
its a gradual self tanner, which i prefer cause then can see how deep the colours going before it goes too far! also they do this in light and dark to suit different complexions. tried a few gradual tanners and prefer them to the 'proper' fake tans0 -
I have pale skin too (strqwberry blonde hair, green eyes) and use Dove tanning moisuriser. It comes in 2 shades, light-medium and medium-dark.
I'm a bit scared of 'proper' fake tan, but find this one is fine and not expensive.
You can mix it in with normal moisturiser to tone down the tan even more, if you're wary of going for the full colour.0 -
As you can see, I'm pale as death and my absolute favourite is the L'Oreal Sublime Bronze, either the rub on gel or the spray (personal absolute absolute favourite is the spray).
But do NOT get the one day bronzing make-up  That streaked all over, DIDN'T wash off after a day and stained my hands orange for a week

Don't do it! Us gingers are suppossed to be pale. It looks lovely! Nobody wants to clash with their own hair!House saving Targets:

When I used to use gradual tanners I found Boots own brand the best if I can remember it comes in 2 shades as well, if you fancy a professional spray tan they come in varying degress too, you could ask for a 2% or a 4% if they dont know what your talking about go somewhere else;)There are also professional products you can buy yourself and easily apply with a applicator you can buy in Boots, if your interested in this let me know and I'll list the products I like and use:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

Hey There
I am mosey brown with very pale freckly skin. I don't tan very easily as I burn....but once burnt, will go brown (but it's so not worth the pain!)
I have used an abundance of fake tan in the past and my two faves are Fake Bake (original) and St Tropez Mousse.
Fake Bake looks a bit scary when it comes out of the bottle as it looks like treacle, and goes on sooooo dark, but once you've slept in it, have a shower to remove the colour guide in the morning, you're left with a lovely glow and no streaks! Plus with it being so dark in the application, you can see exactly where it's going / where you've missed.
St Tropez mousse is so easy to apply, again is coloured so you can see it, and is so quick to dry. I often use this straight out of the shower first thing in the morning and have a lovely tan by the afternoon!
Both are pretty pricey compared to daily moisturisers but worth it in terms of the colour / coverage you get. Plus neither have that manky smell!
I know what it's like to be so pale and want to be able to tan, I know I look better with a little colour and am told so by other people too. I have never gone orange, and never intend to be.
Good luck!!
