  • I bought a large colander from Ikea to put BIL's things into as I'm doing and Italian foodie one. Also am doing a house warming one for my sister and have used a pink colander from Home Bargains to put everything in............um, seems to be a bit of a theme here!:o At least the item will get used!:D

For bigger hampers - this set of 3 baskets for £12.99 although expensive may be viable (from Argos) http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/0173683.htm

If you can't get basket have you seen round decorated 'hatboxes', one of the local charity shops, I think it's Cancer Research sell them, they would look pretty with girly things in. Don't know what they cost though.
  • i got mine from ikea... bit expensive at £7.99 but i needed a big one and a nice one :) they had nice cardboard ones there too :) and smaller wicker baskets at £1.50 each :)
  • I always pick mine up from car boots.

I've got some really pretty ones over the year all really cheap, from the simple florist basket with a handle to lovely big wicker baskets with lids.

    Its worth having a look!!!
  • I boughht 3 from the 99p shop, Swan Centre, Eastleigh - just up the road from Southampton; They are quite nice i think, a proper backet & lined with fabric. 99p shop is amazing, must better than pounfd shops i have visted before. you do all you your christmas shopping there if no friends & family members visited too!

  • Thank you for the ideas. I will check them all out this week.
