Backup your data to a friend's PC over the Internet - free

Was searching for cheap online data backup when I came across this:
BuddyBackup
Download (free) software, arrange some friends' PC's to backup your data to, and off you - free data backup across the internet. The great thing is that it's automated, no discs needed, and it's 'off-site'. All you need is a couple of friends with enough capacity for you data.
I haven't tried it yet, but it looks good.

isnt that a security risk? surely data can be intercepted, and why would anyone wann let you do that for free? doesn't look right to me.............Everything in life is a paradox. The more you want approval, the more you become a person that other people don't want to approve of, the less you care about whether you get approval, the more you get.:A0

I personally wouldnt do this. Id rather just burn my important docs to CD or DVD. I wouldnt send them to a friends PC even if it was secured and encrypted. I just prefer to have them under my control or under the control of somewhere secure.- Matthew - Yep I'm new here
