Want to check my credit report but am a bit scared.

Hi All,

I have never checked my credit report before and am a bit scared, yes by what I might find- though I think I have accounted for all debts that I have, but by the actual signing up and terminating trial before I get charged is it easy to do?

    Hello,

I recently joined equifax for the trial and found the process to be easy. I kept it for a week and then phoned them up to cancel. They keep you on hold for a while and try to sell you more of there product but tell them you aren't interested and just want to cancel the trial.

They put me on hold after i had told them i wasn't interested in any products and i just hung up the phone. I then emailed them to confirm my cancellation and just after sending the email, i got one come through stating my account had been cancelled and no payment would be taken.

Join them through a cashback site also for free £££

    Hope this helps :)

People do post fairly often asking how they cancel thier CRA subscription so it seems to catch people out at times. If you're scared of ending up with another bill then you probably have good reasons why so don't risk it. Send off for the £2 statutory reports instead, then you know you can't be re-billed.
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(
  • I just signed up for the free trial. Does the report come through the post? I have received the confirmation e-mail but can't seem to find anything.
