For twirlypink & Joho & anyone else thinking of getting married in Greece

Hi All,

There is a new programme starting on Sky 'Watch' channel 109 on SKY T.V on Tuesday night called A nice day for a Greek wedding


Also it's on Sky Anytime if you don't want to wait till Tuesday. The wedding planners we are using Lindos Weddings are in the 1st & 5th programme. Just looked on their Facebook page & Lawerance says it was filmed in late October.

Going to watch it later, but a bit nervous all the same! Just though you might like to watch it:D

Thanks for this, I'd seen it advertised then forgot about it, I'll record it and watch it back while he's away on exercise.

I'm looking at Kalithea Spa so hopefully that will be featured

Hi Fawny. I received a Facebook notification about this from Lawrence. We were there in September 2010 and Lindos Weddings were being filmed then - but that might have been a different channel! I'm looking forward to seeing it - I love a big, fat Greek wedding!!!

Thanks, i'll look out for this, although we don't have sky so i'll need to get my folks to record it.

Shows you how stressed I'm getting, i saw the front page title thing and my heart sank, i was thinking "omg, what now, has Greece blown up?" I'm getting myself into such a state about it, and i swore i wouldn't be like this!

We watched it last night, it was really good. It didn't show you that much of Pefkos/Lindos but gives a good insight I think. Hopefully that area will be featured in some of the other shows, although we know what it's like having been 7 times, but it's good to watch it.

At least he'll be smart!

Lol, i know, only 80 days or something today!

Right, H2B and his dad are both wearing grey trousers and waistcoat, an ivory shirt and a yellow tie. I was happy for them not to wear ties, and said so, but h2b is insisting "it's my wedding too... I want to look really smart..." etc!

We are looking at grey or Ivory for the men, H2B, Best Man & my Dad. H2B has never worn an ivory suit & he is blond so he's not sure if it will look right so will go try one soon, otherwise we will go light grey. We are just going with trousers and waistcoat, rather than jacket, not though about a tie though:idea: I'm really looking forward to hearing how both of your weddings when when you get back:D

Well we watched the first episode this evening and for all 3 couples we were saying 'been there', 'and there', 'and there'.!!

Ha ha ha! Couldn't help but laugh as we have been to Fiscardo and recognised the beach and their villa and the restaurant where they had their consultations! And we've been to Kefalos, Kos - recognised a lot of that one too!

And then, of course, Lindos with Karen - our organiser too! Good to see her looking calm with the pressure of the weather! We hadn't even considered that we might get bad weather - it does happen occasionally in September. Windy rather than rainy.

Have got another episode recording tonight but am thinking it might be the same one! Only annoying part was Paddy McGuiness and his sarcastic 'humour'.

Twirly - love the waistcoat and trousers in your pic above. Might leave that open for OH2B to get a good look at!! He wants to wear light grey too.
