County Court Claim from an 'Adoptive' Provider - Help Please!

Just looking for some advice.
I have just received a County Court claim from Lloyds in relation to a Credit Card account.
The card was not originally taken out with Lloyds but with another provider who later sold all their accounts to Lloyds after I had had the account for some years.
The Particulars of Claim say nothing about the original provider or date of the original account but make it look as though my agreement was with Lloyds from the ‘get go’.
The Claim does include dates for the DN and the alleged amount owing.
I sent off for a CCA in relation to the account in mid 2009 and still have all the paperwork, recorded delivery docs etc.
Despite reminders Lloyds have never sent me a copy of the original agreement but have relied on current T&C’s and last account total.
I will acknowledge the Claim imminently but wonder what the best way to proceed is … CPR 31.14, CPR 18 (or a combo?) and whether then to submit an embarrassed defence.
Any advice welcome.
