Vodafone not accepting my offer - HELP!

Morning all, need a bit of advice with one of my creditors so please help if you can.

I've requested my outstanding balance as step 1 of my DMP (following Payplan's advice) and I've offered a £5 token payment until I get all of my balances from all of my creditors. Just had a letter back from Vodafone saying they don't accept my token payment and that the only way I'll be able to pay them off is if I pay the total balance over 6M... something I really can't afford to do. They said if I don't pay the full balance they'll pass me to an external collections agency and this will leave me with a default for 6 years.

In this situation I think the best thing will be to just let them go to an agency and I can work out a plan with them... what do you think?

If you do a DMP most f your debts will end up defaulting.

Did Payplan not explain that to you?

DMPs won't get you out of Default.

As soon as you stop paying the amount due, you are in Default.

Defaults are there for a reason.

Yeah I knew they would default... but I thought they meant get behind, I didn't realise it would stay with me for 6 years. It doesn't really bother me if it is there for 6 years, maybe I was just a bit slow for not clicking about that bit!

Of course they say they wont accept it, they want you to offer more! tell them its £5 or they can do whatever because thats all you have.
