Need help.
Bought property 15 years ago lived in it for 5 and half, only property I own, not been let, moving back.
Need to sell it to buy some where else.
Do i pay CGT?

What have you been doing/where have you been living for the intervening period?

If it doesnt fall into the exclusions then you will be liable for CGT, but dont forget that the last 36 mths are available for relief too.

You probably will be liable to Capital Gains Tax but you will need to share a lot more information to get any useful help from this forum.
For starters, how much Capital Gain do you anticipate?
Month and year of purchase,
Month and year you moved in.
Month and year you moved out.
Month and year you moved back in (or plan to).
Month and year of planned sale.
Whether your reason for moving out was in any way connected with your work.
Have you lived abroad during your period of ownership?
