Job losses in N.I?

The past couple of years sure it has been bad, but I've found this year to be the worst, Certainly around here (Mid Ulster) alot of companies have managed to ride the storm of the past 2 years but it seems to be the !!!!!! has hit the fan this year and they are going bust for whatever reason, and it seems to be factories with 50+ employees not just small shops or whatever, myself I give it a matter of weeks than months before I am laid off and the worst thing is there are no jobs and don't seem to be any sign of jobs coming. Is it like this where you are? Is this year worse than the previous 2?

I don't know where you mean by Mid-Ulster but I believe the Cookstown/Magherafelt areas were particularly badly hit because so many businesses there were dependent on construction. On the other hand food processing businesses seem to be doing well which is why we still have a lot of migrants working. If you're near one, it might be worth checking it out for vacancies.0
